Nurture acquires winter gritting specialist De-ice

As reported in Horticulture Week, BALI Registered Contractor Nurture Landscapes has announced its acquisition of winter gritting and risk management specialist De-ice. Founded in 1998 by Mark and Vicky Lopez, DRP Client Services, trading as De-ice, delivers winter gritting services across the UK, mainly to the business and facilities management sector. 

The acquisition will complete on 1 October when De-ice's back-office systems will integrate with Essex-based Nurture Landscapes at their head office in Windlesham. Following the acquisition, Nurture’s combined winter gritting business will cover more than 4,000 sites, generating £10m in annual turnover.

Managing Director of Nurture Landscapes, Peter Fane, said:
