As electrical work becomes more common in landscaping, take a moment to review the relevant guidance and resources from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), or consider attending one of the regulator’s training courses.
Be it battery powered tools, outdoor lighting, or motorised pergolas, we know that members are increasingly coming into contact with electricity in their day-to-day work, even if it is not a completely new experience for most.
As the HSE says, electricity can kill or severely injure people – as we have seen all too often in landscaping – and cause damage to property, but a few simple precautions can help protect you, your workers, and others around you.
