New guidance issued on COVID contractual obligations

07 Apr 2021 | Technical News

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic several Association members have contacted Landscape House regarding clarification of their contractual obligations, and what resolution options are open to them if obligations can no longer be met due to events such as material shortages or workforce illness.

To help members better understand their obligations, Accredited Supplier Oracle Solicitors has been commissioned to write a comprehensive guidance note for members, explaining the options open to them.  The note includes a definition of force majeure, options if the contact used does not contain any force majeure clauses and what members should look for in a force majeure clause.

The guidance document is available to Association members only, in the COVID section of the BALI website

Members are reminded the British Association Landscape Industries domestic contract is available for free to Association members.
