The Garden Company wins a Design & Build Award at PLBA

BALI Registered Contractor Member, The Garden Company, was announced as the winner of a prestigious ‘Design & Build Company’ Business Award at an awards ceremony on February 7th in Canary Wharf, London. The Awards were presented by the BBC’s Sally Bundock and attended by over 300 people.

This was the third year for the Pro Landscaper Business Awards to take place and the scheme has rapidly gained a reputation for recognising business excellence in the landscaping industry. James Scott, MBALI MSGD and Garden Company MD said;

‘We work in an incredibly competitive market and we were delighted to receive an award that will help us to ‘stand out from the crowd’.  The judges asked us to provide evidence across a whole range of factors – including client testimonials, staff training and development. commitment to the industry and financial stability - and we were proud to meet their stringent requirements’.

The judges’ panel commented that: 

“The Garden Company Ltd very clearly has a strong focus on staff development and continuous learning. It’s emphasis on quality of design and delivery is something we all strive to provide. The business has very clear development objectives for the short/medium term which demonstrates a focus and commitment to reach the next stage of its business life cycle. The entry provided a good clear picture of the business and its structure, together with a sense of direction for the future.”

The Garden Company was established in 1991. Specialising in high quality commercial and domestic garden landscaping, design and maintenance, it offers an integrated, ‘one stop shop’ for clients’ requirements.  It has a full-time staff of 20 people and a network of highly skilled associates – including specialists in joinery, tree surgery, lighting, swimming pool, and irrigation. Based in Chipperfield near Kings Langley, the business mainly operates in North London and South East England, although it can deliver design services nationally.
