PEACH system to close from April 2024
As previously reported, the IT system used to facilitate pre-notification of imports of plants and plant products in Great Britain will transition from the current PEACH system to a new system called Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System (IPAFFS).
The decision has now been made to close PEACH for imports to the UK from 00:01 on 8th April 2024. From this time all imports into the UK will need to be submitted via the IPAFFS system.
The new system, IPAFFS is now available to traders wishing to submit pre-notifications for imports of plants and plant products into GB. Defra are continuing to develop and further improve their service with functionality such as Electronic Phytosanitary Certificate (ePhyto) which will be available in the coming months.
If traders are submitting a notification for the first time and do not currently have a PEACH account, they must register with IPAFFS now.
