Maylim announces new CEO and managing director

Founder and Managing Director Tom O’Mahony will move into the role of Chief Executive Officer, with Liam Hawkins appointed as Managing Director.

The new structure supports Maylim’s continued growth while ensuring the business maintains the quality, culture and client-focused approach that have shaped its success as a leading public realm and external works contractor in both the UK and Ireland.

As CEO, Tom will focus on the strategic direction of the company, key relationships, new opportunities and the long-term development of the business.

Liam will take responsibility for leading the day-to-day operations of Maylim as Managing Director, working closely with the senior team to drive performance, develop people and continue building on the company’s strong reputation across the industry.

The leadership team will also be strengthened with the appointment of Ben Bellinger as Operations Director. Ben will oversee operational delivery across the business, supporting project teams and ensuring consistency as Maylim continues to grow.

Gareth Kinsella has also been promoted to Contracts Manager, recognising his contribution to the business and further strengthening Maylim’s operational leadership team.

Senior Leadership Appointments

Thomas O’Mahony - Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Having founded Maylim and led the business as Managing Director, Tom moves into the role of Chief Executive Officer as the company enters its next stage of growth.

With a proven track record of building Maylim into one of the industry’s leading external works and public realm contractors, Tom will focus on the strategic direction of the business, strengthening key relationships, developing new opportunities and supporting the company’s long-term vision.

Liam Hawkins - Managing Director

Liam has been appointed Managing Director, having progressed through several operational leadership roles since joining Maylim in January 2014 as a Site Manager.

Progressing through Project Manager, Contracts Manager and most recently Operations Director, Liam brings extensive experience across project delivery, pre-construction, commercial strategy and business operations.

His appointment provides continuity in leadership while supporting Maylim’s continued growth, ensuring the standards, culture and reputation developed over the last decade continue into the next chapter.

Ben Bellinger - Operations Director

Ben has been promoted to Operations Director, having joined Maylim in June 2014 as a Site Manager and developed through the business.

With extensive experience delivering some of Maylim’s most challenging and high-profile projects, Ben brings a detailed understanding of operational delivery, client relationships and team leadership.

In his new role, Ben will lead the operational function, supporting project teams and maintaining consistency across Maylim’s growing portfolio.

Gareth Kinsella - Contracts Manager

Gareth steps into the role of Contracts Manager, having joined Maylim in November 2018 as a Project Manager.

His technical knowledge, attention to detail and consistent approach to project delivery have made him a key part of Maylim’s operational team.

Gareth will play an important role in supporting delivery excellence and strengthening the company’s project leadership structure.
