Makita UK has expanded its powerful XGT 40VMax range of garden machinery with the launch of the UA004 Telescopic Pole Saw, UC002, UC003 and UC006 Top-Handle Chainsaws, and UC011, UC014, UC015 and UC016 Rear-Handle Chainsaws. As part of Makita’s XGT series, all of these products enjoy Makita’s innovative tool design and higher output batteries, making light work of even the hardest of applications.

UA004 XGT 40VMax (300mm) Telescopic Pole Saw

Go above and beyond with Makita’s new UA004 XGT 40VMax Telescopic Pole Saw. Thanks to its telescopic, tool-less shaft design, users can seamlessly adjust the pole length from 2.5m up to 3.8m, allowing optimum reach and efficiency. With 1.5kW of max output power comparable to a 35cc petrol pole saw, the brushless motor can deliver chain speeds of 20 m/s for fast, smooth cutting.

For maximum convenience, the integrated branch hook at the bottom of the saw chain enables users to easily and quickly remove cut branches. Innovatively designed features such as its variable speed control – with active feedback sensing technology (AFT) – lock-off function and anti-fall captive nuts, ensure that users can enjoy this tool’s power and high efficiency, without compromising on safety.

UC002, UC003, UC006 XGT 40VMax (250/300mm) Top-Handle Chainsaws

Delivering an impressive 1.4kW of max output with a brushless motor, these first-class cordless chainsaws each enjoy comparable power to a 30cc 2-stroke chainsaw. Thanks to Makita’s innovative 40VMax XGT technology, professionals can rely on these machines for longer runtimes and efficient working. Weighing only 4.2kg (without batteries), these cordless chainsaws all feature a large oil reservoir with an adjustable chain oiling mechanism, and anti-fall captive bar nuts to minimise loss when adjusting chain tension.

Designed with user safety in mind, these chainsaws feature a metal spike bumper to firmly grip the workpiece, a variable speed control trigger, a kickback brake and an auto-power off function that automatically turns off the chainsaw after one minute of inactivity. The lanyard hook is an invaluable feature, enabling professionals to ‘clip, climb and cut’ with ease.

UC011, UC014, UC015, UC016 XGT 40VMax (300/350/400mm) Rear-Handle Chainsaws

Effortlessly tackling any application on the ground, these rear-handled chainsaws, with bar lengths of 300, 350 or 400mm, also benefit from Makita’s 40VMax Li-Ion battery power, generating a max output of 1.6kW – 45% higher compared to the original DUC353 LXT model. Such impressive power provides chain speeds up to 25.5m/s, providing fast and effective cutting, vital for tackling thicker branches.

Featuring a tool-less change and tension adjustment of the saw chain, as well as an adjustable automatic chain lubrication, these cordless machines are a perfect companion for those needing to work on a range of different applications with both speed and efficiency. For optimal handling and leverage, the ergonomic soft grip and metal spike bumper ensure users can maximise their productivity.

Mark Earles (Business Development Manager – OPE) at Makita said:
