Limited number of traders invited to IPAFFS
The IT system currently used to facilitate pre-notification of plants and plant product imports in the UK is due to move from the current system called PEACH (Procedure for Electronic Application for Certificates) to IPAFFS (Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System) during 2021.
The rollout of IPAFFS has now commenced with a small number of traders being invited to register for the new service. To control the early phases of onboarding registration is currently by invitation only. Defra will broaden the scope of roll-out over the coming months.
Existing user of PEACH should continue to use PEACH until directed to register for and use the new services. Further guidance and support will be offered before, during, and after the transition.
