19 Aug 2020 | Industry News

In more welcome news for self-employed landscape professionals, individuals could be eligible to claim up to £6,570 through the Government's Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.

The scheme is now open with three million workers possibly eligible for the payment, which could see an individual payout of up to £6,570 per person as part of the Government's latest COVID-19 relief package for cash-stricken businesses that have been hard hit by the pandemic ever since lockdown measures were first introduced in late March 2020.

If you are self-employed, or a member of a partnership, and have been adversely affected by coronavirus on or after the 14th July, you can now apply for this latest grant up to and including the 19th October 2020, as long as meet certain criteria

You don't have to have made a claim for the first grant that was made available, which saw over £7bn handed out to 2.7 million people. Chancellor Rishi Sunak has confirmed this second grant will be the final payout.

If you're a limited company or operating a trade through a trust, the grant is not available to you.
