Hy-Tex (UK) supports local armed forces charity

Registered Affiliate member, Hy-Tex (UK) Ltd. has gladly donated over £2,000 worth of their new VersiWall vertical garden product to the armed forces charity, Shoulder to Soldier.
The addition of this living wall to the charity's communal allotment will enable disabled veterans to participate in the garden more.

In the past, disabled veterans were left frustrated that they couldn't 'get stuck in' at the allotment, as their restricted mobility made it difficult to work at low levels.
However, that will soon be a distant memory. Hy-Tex's VersiWall product, which was only introduced to the UK last year, allows people who struggle with physical difficulties to enjoy gardening with greater ease and independence.
With the VersiWall's versatility (hence the name), it gives the opportunity for anyone to focus on gardening at a height that is comfortable for them and is also extremely easy to install and maintain.

Peter, a member of the charity and an amputee, praised the product for its uniqueness - ''I was so overwhelmed when Hy-Tex offered us this product, it will allow me to contribute to the allotment rather than just watching the other lads do all the work!''
He went on to say, ''As the product is so simple to use and can be at a height ideal for me, it means I can do my planting of the pots in the shed and then transfer them onto the wall all on my own without hurting myself. It's an amazing feeling to know I can do something independently when it comes to gardening; it will improve my mental health and general wellbeing significantly as I will now be able to work just as hard as the others.''
