GroundsFest Academy launches free sustainability tool
GroundsFest Academy, an educational initiative from the organisers of the annual landscaping event, have launched a free online tool to help organisations take their first step on the sustainability journey.
Produced in collaboration with John Moverley OBE – a widely respected voice in the amenity sector – the tool uses a series of questions to assess current performance on sustainability and identify opportunities for improvement with existing resources.
Commenting on the new tool, Chris Bennett, Marketing Director for GroundsFest, said:
“Sustainability is one of the biggest priorities for the industry and for many organisations it can be difficult to know where to begin.
“This tool provides a simple but effective way for organisations of all sizes to take a step back and assess what they are already doing and where there may be opportunities to improve.
“We’re also delighted to be working with John Moverley on this initiative. His knowledge, experience and standing within the industry bring enormous value to the project.”
The new tool sits alongside a number of existing sustainability tools, including elemental, a BALI supported online tool which also uses a series of questions to assess the sustainability of landscaping projects at the design stage.
