Green-tech help create luxurious outside learning space

The Early Years Foundation Stage outside environment at Bedale Church of England Primary School in North Yorkshire has been given a luxurious finish with some help from leading landscaper supplier Green-tech.

The children’s outside playground and learning zone was already well equipped but the school wanted to make it even more comfortable for them with the addition of soft artificial grass.

Assistant Headteacher and Early Years team leader Mrs Michelle Ball approached Green-tech who donated a roll of luxury artificial turf. This will provide a hard-wearing, maintenance-free soft surface; ideally suited for school play or heavy use areas.

The Reception children, aged 4 and 5, wrote a beautiful letter to Green-tech to express their gratitude for their new grass. Class teacher Mrs Ball said,

“We operate a free-flow environment so the children are continually learning through play. The donation of this artificial grass has allowed us to make our outside ‘classroom’ area even more appealing and comfortable for the children. We are lucky to have a large outside space and some fabulous resources and have fit the grass in numerous places so that the children can enjoy a warmer, drier and cosier environment when they are doing their activities; which is especially important during the colder and wetter months. It has been a huge hit with our pupils and they are really enjoying sitting and learning outside so a big thanks to Green-tech for their kind donation.”

Green-tech is the largest supplier in the UK of landscaping materials; selling everything from tree shelters and stakes to soils and wildflower seeds.  They offer a range of artificial turfs from contract 25/30mm pile, entry level turf which doesn’t compromise on quality through to Luxury 35/40 mm pile which is natural tri-tone colour with a luxurious feel. They offer a variety of roll widths and all relevant accessories for the professional installer.
