Green light for GoLandscape as launch hailed a success

22 Mar 2018 | BALI Member News

Following a 14 month pilot phase for BALI's GoLandscape, the popular industry initiative officially launched nationwide on Monday with over 75 members, guests and VIP's in attendance at a wintry RHS Garden Wisley.

The launch event was praised by those in attendance for providing a fascinating and inspirational day of garden tours, presentations and networking and was hosted by industry TV personality and presenter Tommy Walsh and supported by the BALI Chalk Fund.

GoLandscape, which has been piloted by the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) for over 14 months, has seen the association trial the initiative at various locales and events across the country, including careers and ex-forces fairs, college talks and a show garden at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in 2017, which was incredibly well received by the general public.

During the pilot stage, BALI also recruited a full time Education Officer, Stephen Ensell, to take the initiative forwards, who has since gone on to establish enrichment programmes at two leading colleges and recruited and trained GoLandscape ambassadors in the South of England and Midlands regions, with more coming on-board to help promote and inspire the next generation of landscaping professionals.
