Global Stone appoint new sales directors

Despite the difficulty of 2020, Global Stone are delighted to announce a series of new appointments to support both existing and new business as well as to continue to drive their business forward. 

They are delighted to announce the following senior appointments;

Glen Swainston joins Global Stone as Regional Sales Director, Midlands in November after over 22 years in the industry, including working for most recently for MKM and Brett. He brings with him a breadth of experience at all levels across the sector and an indepth knowledge of the landscaping and merchant sector which will be key in developing this new role.

Chris Bourne, who has been with Long Rake Spar for 9 years, will take up the role as Regional Sales Director, South in early 2021. Chris brings over 20 years experience of working within the Independent and National Builders Merchant industry where he initially worked for Tarmac and Hanson. Chris’ role will involve working closely with the UK National Merchant Buying Groups to further expand the companies exposure in the UK marketplace.

Global Stone also announce the change of role for Des Stokes to Business Development Director. Des has been with Global 10 years in a number of senior sales roles and will leverage his connections across the industry to identify and grow the volume sales business.
