Don't cut corners - just nail it with Makita

16 Sep 2026 | BALI Member News

The high-performance Makita nailer achieves approximately 1000 shots with a fully charged 18V LXT® Li-Ion 6.0ah battery, and due to its pneumatic spring, can drive nails up to 64mm.

Also referred to as a positive placement nailer, this new model is suitable for securing metal connectors, the high-powered brushless motor of the new DBN640 Makita LXT® Metal Connector Nailer significantly extends the overall battery life and ensures the tool can maintain consistent, efficient power and drive nails flush. A reliable LED job light ensures clear visibility is continuous and un-interrupted, with a pre-glow function when the tool is activated and an after-glow once the trigger is released, to allow users to check precise placement.

Additional practical and useful design features include a dial to easily adjust drive depth as well as an anti-dry fire mechanism, which minimises the risk of this issue occurring by locking the contact arm when only 4 to 5 nails remain loaded. A window also allows users to check the remaining nail quantity.

“The DBN640 18V LXT® Metal Connector Nailer is an all-round joy to use as it achieves excellent visibility when undertaking the task of nailing metal connectors, even in the most awkward corners and angles,” explained Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita UK. “Furthermore, with its efficient brushless motor design and powerful battery it ensures higher driving power and consistency as well as a longer lifespan for a tool that requires minimal maintenance.”
