Defra launches new IPAFFS webpage
The IT system used to facilitate pre-notification of imports of plants and plant products in Great Britain is due to move from the current PEACH system to a new system called Import of Products, Animals, Food and Feed System (IPAFFS) during 2022.
Following feedback from introductory webinars Defra recently held, they have created a new webpage which includes further information on how to locate commodity codes in IPAFFS.
Stakeholders who do not already use the existing system, PEACH, are requested to register for and use IPAFFS to complete pre-notifications of ‘regulated and notifiable’ goods in 2022.
Traders who are currently using IPAFFS as part of Defra's early adopter phase will continue to use IPAFFS for existing goods in scope plus those requiring pre-notification in 2022.
