BALI announces two guest speakers for SALTEX 2018

BALI's next big event is SALTEX at the NEC Birmingham, 31 October to 1 November 2018. Along with its popular BALI Zone area, which is now over 80% full, BALI has also been working with organisers to secure two guest speakers as part of the show's Learning LIVE seminars. Find out who will be taking to the stage on behalf of BALI this year.

The first confirmed speaker is Dr David Greenshields, Amenity Product Manager for BALI Registered Affiliate member Barenbrug UK. He has worked for Barenbrug for ten years in a variety of sales, R&D and management roles. David particularly enjoys seeing a new cultivar through final trials before coming to market and advising top sports facilities on grass seed usage. David's background was in academia - he has a PhD. in Plant Genetics from Edinburgh University and a Master's degree in Environmental Biology from St Andrews University. In his spare time he tries in vain to hang onto a decent golf handicap whilst "managing" family life with two young daughters and a border collie.

David will be discussing the topic 'Breeding sustainable grass varieties' and will be on stage at 10.40am - 11.10am on 1 November 2018.  

The second speaker that BALI is in currently in talks with is Henry Bechelet, Technical Sales Manager for ICL Turf & Landscape. Henry is planning to discuss 'What's new in fertiliser technology'. The seminar will be held on 31 October 2018 in Seminar Theatre 4 at 11.20am - 11.50am.

The BALI Zone will feature a range of BALI Registered members including Green-tech, Makita UK, British Sugar TOPSOIL, EverEdge, CW Group, YMCA Training and Boningale.
