Advance British Standard (ABS) - member consultation

Earlier this year, the Association made members aware of the Governments plans to to introduce a new Advance British Standard (ABS), which will take the current A and T levels and bring them together into a single framework.

Towards the end of 2023, the Department for Education published its formal consultation on the development of the ABS and is seeking the views of employers on a qualification.

The Association will be responding to the consultation and would like to call on members to provide their views, to ensure you are represented in the official response.

The consultation document is 60 pages long! Jonathan Pettit, Landscape Skills and Careers Manager has created a summary of the key areas of the consultation, with an invitation to provide your thoughts after each section. We would like to encourage members to take the time to review the summary and provide comments. Feel free to only provide comments against those areas you feel most relevant or you have an opinion.
