ABAX attracts industry recognition for innovation
Accredited Supplier ABAX – which has offices in the UK and across Europe – has received industry recognition at the Great British Fleet Awards 2022.
The prestigious fleet-focussed exhibition and awards ceremony were held on the 29th of March in London. Organised by Fleet World, it attracted over 20 national and international companies and key speakers – offering a valuable networking opportunity for the fleet industry to share knowledge, celebrate achievements and innovation, and showcase the latest fleet management technology.
Peterborough-based ABAX received a Highly Commended award for its Innovation Cost Reduction initiative in the Fleet Suppliers category.
After partnering with Zego in 2021, the company rolled out an innovative fleet insurance model that uses telematics to determine the premium – whether mileage to power a usage-based solution, or behavioural data to power a flat rate product.
By using data provided by ABAX telematics tracking devices in vehicles to calculate the flexible part of premium based on how much a vehicle is used, how many miles it has travelled each month, or even how it has been driven; customers can see in the dashboard exactly how much their fleet is used and save up to 80 per cent when their fleet is off road.
Alongside its vehicle tracking capabilities, the technology offers other benefits including HMRC compliant mileage claims, insights into driving behaviour and effective fleet management.
The technology is designed to better place business owners and fleet managers to identify and manage any risks based on monitoring vehicle location, reducing fuel waste and maintenance costs, time management and driver behaviour – which can all help to improve efficiency.
