Secure your place among 50 years of landscaping greats
Think you deserve a place alongside the best of the best in landscaping history?
Then it is time to secure your name among the pantheon of greats, spanning generations of landscapers.
Entries are now open for the BALI National Landscape Awards 2026, Europe’s largest landscaping celebration of excellence.
Taking place at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Friday 4 December and headline sponsored by Origin Enterprises via their Living Landscapes Division, this year signals a landmark event for the industry, as it is the 50th anniversary of the very first BALI Awards ceremony.
Standing on the shoulders of giants
Over the years since that first celebration in 1976, many landscapers and landscaping businesses have come and gone, all adding their own unique contributions to the amazing industry we inhabit today. Some businesses have been passed down through the generations – from BALI Award winner to BALI Award winner – while other newcomers have taken up the mantle, inspired by the greatness and dedication of past pioneers, and pushed boundaries beyond what people even thought possible back when man had not long taken its first tentative steps on the moon.
This iteration of the BALI Awards will be a chance to honour all of this. A chance for nostalgia and appreciation, to take stock of all that has been achieved, for pride in what once was, what is now, and what one day will be. Ultimately, it will be a moment to celebrate the greatness that can be achieved when the industry stands together with each other to succeed, with the guidance and support of organisations such as BALI.
Now is your chance to be a proud part of that history, that future, and to write your name down in the annals of history at this 50-year spectacular.
Put your best fork forward
Have you got a project that you’re particularly proud of? Perhaps something that is aesthetically stunning, maybe involved expert mastery of technical complexity, or perhaps had a significantly positive impact on people or the environment?
There are over 30 categories to enter, so you’re bound to find a category where you can shine and get the recognition you deserve.
Being nominated for a BALI Award can not only elevate your business in the eyes of clients, but also be an attractive prospect for any potential employees. A BALI Award tells the world that you are working at the very top of the industry and are a forward-thinking, boundary-pushing, and overall excellent business.
Don’t just take our word for it though; Mark Britton, Managing Director of last year’s Grand Award-winning business, The Outdoor Room, had this to say:
“These Awards represent the highest level of recognition in our industry. To be acknowledged by such experienced and knowledgeable judges is an honour. Achievements like this inspire and motivate our whole team, especially our younger members.”
Speaking about the Awards, BALI Chief Executive, Wayne Grills, said:
“I cannot stress enough just how incredible it is to be talking about our 50th holding of the BALI National Landscape Awards. It is a truly magnificent achievement that they have been going strong for all these years, and a testament to the industry’s resilience.
"Of course, I have only been the custodian of these Awards for the past 15 years, but it gives me both great pride to be a steward of them, and also great excitement to be able to pay homage to all of those who made them what they are today. These Awards are going to be a spectacular celebration of everything that has made our industry such a great, pioneering place to work.
“I encourage every landscaper, contractor, supplier and designer out there to enter these Awards. They not only are a fantastic promotion of your work to both industry and potential clients, but also a rare chance for you to take a moment and appreciate just how amazing your work is – regardless of whether you ultimately win an Award on the day or not. The standard is so phenomenal that even those that just miss out are still incredible works that deserve praise and to be acknowledged too, and it inspires everyone to push on to bigger and bolder things.”
