Rolawn supporting Sir Harold Hillier Gardens
Rolawn, the UK's leading supplier of high quality turf, topsoil & bark, is supporting the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens (the Gardens), in Hampshire, as they refurbish the magnificent Magnolia Avenue and the Jermyn’s House lawn.
Over 1,000 metres squared of turf and 40 bulk bags of topsoil will be donated, allowing the Gardens to progress the enormous task of returfing the hugely popular Magnolia-lined walkways and lawned area, immediately behind the iconic building that was once the home of Sir Harold Hillier. Bequeathed to Hampshire County Council, the Gardens is run as a charity which relies on donations like this to continue their work maintaining the world-renowned horticultural collection for future generations.
Jonathan Hill, Rolawn’s Sales and Marketing Director, comments on Rolawn’s involvement:
Much of what we do is about helping people to enrich their lives by providing products which form the basis of beautiful gardens and healthy eco-systems. The ethos behind the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens is very much in line with these objectives, providing its visitors, young and old, with the opportunity to engage with nature and horticulture. It is therefore a great pleasure to help them continue to do so.
The project, which will take approximately six weeks, will be completed by the time the magnolias begin to bloom at the end of March 2021.
