Van den Berk visits from behind your screen

22 Apr 2020 | BALI Member News

The possibilities for a nursery visit are currently very limited. BALI Registered Affiliate member Van den Berk Nurseries has a number of options for viewing its trees while staying at home.

The company has now made short videos of over 60 species. Trees are filmed from all sides, zooming in on details while one of the staff members describes the features. The videos can be viewed on the youtube channel.

Johan van den Berk, the "tree vlogger" of Van den Berk Nurseries with almost 4000 followers, continues to actively record new vlogs. He takes the viewers into the nursery and shows an assortment that fits a specific theme. It can be species that show a special ornamental value, such as the different Prunus species, but also themes such as trees for bees, for coastal areas or for playgrounds are available. The videos last an average of about 6 minutes and there are now 29 tree vlogs. www.youtube.com/vandenberknurseries

For greenery professionals, who are looking for certain trees and would like to select them by themselves, Van den Berk introduces the "Video calling in the nursery". During a live video conversation in the nursery, employees of the sales team show the relevant types and sizes and possible alternatives. The trees can be viewed all around and details can be zoomed in. This makes it possible to safely and efficiently select the desired specimens yourself.
