New Education Officer Opportunity
The British Association of Landscape Industries, the leading Trade Association for landscape professionals in the UK, has an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer to join the team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established Membership Body, with a leading presence within the landscape industry. This role is highly varied with the main objectives to encourage and inspire the next generation to consider a career in the landscape industry and create training and development programmes both internally and externally with the association.
Please note that this is a hybrid-working role with 1 day a week working-from-home and the remainder working in the office.
Education Officer main responsibilities:

Raise awareness of careers in the landscape industry via campaigns directed at pupils, teachers, career advisors and others

To keep up to date with government policy on education and skills training as well as considering the governments skills and education agenda

To take part in a review and development of existing and new horticulture and landscaping courses and qualifications

To maintain and develop close partnerships with school and colleges, producing reports and statistics as required

Work to within agreed budgets and contribute to the budget development process along with collating feedback and provide reports and presentations to the Chief Executive
Key Skills & Experience:
- Excellent and demonstrable track record of education provision in a landscaping and horticulture context
- Understanding of horticulture and landscape education syllabuses
- Effective management of staff & volunteers
- Landscaping/horticulture qualifications

Clean driving licence

Excellent presentation and communication skills, verbal and written
