Majestic Trees supply Chiltern Design Awards winner

03 Jul 2019 | BALI Member News

BALI Registered Affiliate member Majestic Trees and Acres Wild team up to produce stunning rural landscaping for Chilterns Building Design Awards winner, 2019.

The Chilterns Building Design Awards, run jointly by The Chilterns Society and the Chilterns Conservation Board, recognise and promote good building design in this environmentally important region. This year saw two winners, the first of which was ‘Incurvo’, a newly built residential property in Goring on Thames, designed by Adrian James Architects of Oxford. The judges found Incurvo to be ‘beautiful and unique…, incorporating several distinctive features… as well as energy-saving measures to make the house almost carbon neutral’. A build such as Incurvo, set amongst the Chiltern countryside, cried out for equally distinctive naturalistic landscaping, and design firm Acres Wild and mature tree grower Majestic Trees were well cast for the role.

Acres Wild are renowned for their mastery of the large country garden style; Majestic Trees for their expansive range of high quality mature trees.  Between them, they produced, according to the judges,

“landscaped gardens which wrap themselves around the sinuous curves of the house in perfect synergy with the building, whilst the planting has been carefully designed to provide stunning views of the Chiltern countryside beyond.’

‘It’s so gratifying to see our trees being used to instantly bring such fabulous vision to life’

says Majestic Trees Business Development Manager Christina Jones.

“It's an honour to have been involved with such a unique and successful project”.
