FutureScape shortlisted in 2019 Exhibition Awards
In the lead up to the eighth FutureScape, taking place on Tuesday 19 November, the event and its organisers have been shortlisted in the 2019 Exhibition News Indy Awards - at their very first nomination. The Awards bestow industry recognition on the efforts of independent exhibition organisers and find Sussex-based business and media company Eljays44 Limited in the running in three hotly contested categories.
With the winners to be announced at the 2019 EN Indy Awards ceremony at The Honourable Artillery Company on 11 October, the three categories where Eljays44 have impressed are:
- BEST SHOW DIRECTOR: Jamie Wilkinson
- BEST TRADE SHOW LAUNCH: FutureScape Spring
- BEST BRAND EXPANSION: FutureScape Spring
The award nominations for Jamie and the FutureScape events team demonstrated clarity, vision and a great affinity with the landscaping community, focusing on the development of the FutureScape brand and leading to the successful launch of the first FutureScape Spring event in March 2019.
FutureScape is at the core of Eljays44’s landscaping and horticultural industry initiatives and has been since its launch in 2013. These one-day landscaping events enjoy visitor numbers in excess of 3500 with exhibiting companies topping the 300 mark over their Spring and Autumn shows.
Entry numbers to the 2019 EN Indy Awards have increased by 88%, reflecting the growth in the independent event sector and demonstrating both heightened investment and competition in the field.
FutureScape Events Director Jamie Wilkinson spoke of his excitement on hitting the shortlist in three categories at the first attempt:
