Fresh new brand unveiled for your Trade Association

31 Mar 2021 | BALI News

Today we are proud to unveil our fresh new look ahead of our 50th anniversary next year, marking a brand new chapter in the British Association of Landscape Industries’ history.

Spearheading our brand refresh is our new, contemporary identity, boldly updated for 2021 while celebrating our Association’s storied history, while an update to our terminology to more accurately reflect the process businesses go through to obtain accreditation.

From today, the previous ‘Registered’ name for companies who have passed our stringent vetting processes will become ‘Accredited’, e.g. Accredited Contractor, Accredited Designer, Accredited Training Provider etc. Our ‘Affiliate’ category will also be changed to ‘Supplier’, as it is a word that better describes that category of membership.

The refresh is also bringing changes to the way our Association communicates its identity. From now on, we will be dropping the acronym ‘BALI’, except where relevant in brand names like the BALI Chalk Fund and BALI-NCF. As ‘BALI’ is often confused with non-industry terms, the Association’s new identity advertises a greater public-friendly position, simplified so it only displays the full company name that better describes the service offer.

The rebrand has been carried out following a three-year development cycle which saw our team at Landscape House carry out research and analysis, a series of stakeholder interviews and a brand positioning exercise. Several significant changes have been decided upon to help our Association promote, support and inspire our members, the wider landscape services industry, and the public.

Chief Executive Wayne Grills said:

This is an important moment for our Association and its members. We recognised, through talking with key stakeholders, that we needed to make changes to our brand to continue to build on our strong foundation and provide the high level of customer service our members expect. Next year our Trade Association celebrates 50 years and we wanted to be in the best shape possible to take full advantage of what that special milestone will bring. Expect further announcements of what we have planned later this year.

To support the launch of the new brand the team at Landscape House have refreshed all marketing and promotional materials for members, with our website, suite of newsletters and popular journal Landscape News all receiving major design and/or functionality updates.

Members can login to their member’s area at bali.org.uk/login to download the new Accredited logo and brand guidelines (if your membership category permits), order vehicle stickers, download Use the Professionals leaflets and access your membership benefits portfolio, which has also been updated.
