Dura Composites was proud to work with its exclusive Irish distributor Ridgeway to provide a range of landscaping products for one of the large feature gardens at the show – Sculpture in the Park.

Designed and curated by owners of the Kildare Gallery, Ruth Liddle and Ken Folan, Sculpture in the Park featured stunning criss-cross pathways made from composite timber interlocking Dura Deck Tiles, as well as a beautiful composite timber Dura Pergola. The core idea behind the concept for Bloom was to remove art from the confines of gallery walls and celebrate Irish art, design and craftmanship in the garden.

Visitors could interact with over 40 pieces of sculpture set amongst a planting backdrop of orange flowers which are known for their connotations of innovation and joy.

Enabling the visitors to experience the art were the anti-slip decking pathways created by the Dura Deck Tiles. Able to transform any outdoor space into a stunning decking areas in minutes, the tiles have already featured extensively at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where they were used within the catering areas.

Due to their unique interlocking design, the 605mm by 305mm rectangular decking tiles can be laid in minutes, without the need for a costly substructure, and are also perfect for overlaying onto an existing area where traditional decking will not fit due to the door threshold.

As well as show gardens such as Sculpture in the Park, Dura Deck Tiles are also popular with cafes, pubs, restaurants, pop-up food stalls and other businesses in the hospitality and leisure sector, as well as with back garden owners looking for a fast-fit quick and easy DIY decking product that won’t break the bank.

Commenting on the successful installation of the Dura Tiles, Julie Steele of Ridgeway at Home said:

“This festival was the perfect opportunity for the public to experience and sample the very best of Irish horticulture. We are delighted to have been able to work with the Kildare Gallery to showcase the latest innovations in durable yet beautiful garden decking and shading products that help create the perfect ambience.”

Kildare Gallery owner, Ruth Liddle, added:

“The Dura Deck Tile pathways and Dura Pergola looked amazing and are such high quality. We were thrilled by how the project came together and allowed visitors to walk around freely and appreciate the sculpture”.
