Creepers Nursery welcomed over 20 garden designers to its first SGLD open morning on Thursday 19th March, bringing together members of the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers for a relaxed and informative start to the season.

Set against a beautiful spring morning, the event provided an opportunity for designers to connect, share ideas and gain insight from a series of expert-led talks, all within the nursery’s growing environment.

The morning was led by Michael Buck, Head of Horticulture at Creepers Nursery, who guided guests through the session and introduced a strong line-up of speakers from across the industry.

Contributions included Debbie Mercer of Bury Hill Top Soil, Melinda La Mantia of Gartenart, and Malcolm Catlin of Plant Healthy, each offering valuable perspectives on their specialist areas and current topics within the sector.

Alongside the talks, the event created space for informal conversation and networking, something that attendees clearly valued.

“It was a great session and very good coffee too,”

said Alex Jensen of Alex Jensen Garden Design.

Anya Nixon added,

“Thanks so much for putting on a really enjoyable and informative morning.”

The open morning marks the first of what Creepers Nursery hopes will become a regular opportunity to bring the design community together, strengthening connections between growers, designers and suppliers within the industry.
