Bawden donate woodchip to Netheravon Primary School

27 May 2020 | BALI Member News

Following the lockdown period and given the unprecedented situation in regards to COVID-19, it would be very easy to get bogged down with the constant rolling out of the news and uncertainty regarding the future.

However, we have some positive news for you today - a glimmer of hope - as BALI Registered Contractor member Bawden Managed Landscape's Bawden Tree Care gets back up and running and gets stuck back into helping the community.

The tree care team visited Netheravon All Saints C of E Primary School to donate a hefty amount of wood chip to the school's nature garden...and for a great cause too.

Not only will this nature garden be easy on the eye, it will serve as an educational environment for the children upon the planned return of reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils on Monday 1 June 2020. The school explained to them that it would be a great idea to get the children learning outdoors as much as possible upon their return - not only to make the most of the June sunshine, but to keep both staff and pupils as safe as possible and minimise any potential coronavirus transmission. The school's nature garden will be a fabulous opportunity for pupils to get outdoors, get some fresh air, enjoy the weather and learn in a way that is perhaps a little different to usual.

Bawden Managed Landscapes pride themselves as being available to their local community to help out where possible; they are so glad to have been able to assist with this particular school's needs, especially at such an uncertain time when community cohesion is more important than ever - not literally, of course, got to keep that 2 metres distance going!
