BALI now recognises Green Roof Installers for LISS/CSCS scheme

Stage 1 of the Technical Award in The Introduction to Installing and Maintaining Green Roofs is now available via Lantra and is recognised by BALI's LISS/CSCS SmartCard Scheme. The course has been developed for those looking to obtain knowledge and understanding and develop key skills within the Green Roof and Landscaping sectors. It is suitable for those working or entering the Green Roof industry in a work-based setting at a technical level. On completion of Stage 1, applicants will be issued with a Stage 1 certificate and will be eligible to apply for their Red Trainee LISS/CSCS SmartCard.

Lantra is currently working with industry to develop a Stage 2 course. On completion of this course applicants will be able to apply for their Blue Skilled Worker LISS/CSCS SmartCard titled Green Roof Installer. 

Elsewhere, BALI's LISS/CSCS SmartCard Scheme now also recognises Environmental Maintenance Operatives, more specifically, the Litter Picking and Environmental Maintenance e-learning course which is also delivered by Lantra. The course is available now and has been developed specifically for people looking to learn about and attain a litter picking certificate. It forms part of the LISS/CSCS requirement for individuals wanting to gain a Blue Skilled Environmental Maintenance Operative LISS/CSCS SmartCard.
