Founded in 1992, Urban Forestry is one of the UK's leading landscaping and arboricultural contractors. We are accredited by BALI, the Arboricultural Association, Marshalls, CHAS, SMAS, Trustmark and are certified European Tree Workers. We are Approved Contractors for many large organisations, including councils and developers, as well as private customers and the Forestry Commission. Our workforce is big enough to cope with large-scale jobs, but small enough to care. After 30 plus years, we have seen a steady growth in all business areas. Our staff are highly skilled and we can offer clients the high quality of work that they are looking for. We build close working relationships with our clients to ensure we understand their requirements and to make sure that they are 100% satisfied with the end result. We continually update and refresh training to keep employee skills up to date. By investing in training we hope to achieve quality workmanship, which is undertaken in a safe manner with modern equipment and techniques. We are continually praised for our high standard of work, along with our polite staff and attention to detail. We are very conscious of the effect we as a company have on the environment, so we work hard to reduce our carbon footprint. Our landscaping department is run by director Ian Choules and his contracts managers. We carry out a range of services including an in-house design service, implementation of hard and soft landscaping projects, patios, paths, walls, fencing, decking, tree, shrub and herbaceous planting, turfing, seeding, maintenance, spraying, remedial works, clearance and conservation work. We also supply and install play equipment and safer surfacing. In the Winter of 2023 we were successful in winning the Bali Principal Award in Community & Schools Development, which recognises exemplary levels of professionalism, workmanship & client satisfaction. Our tree surgery department is run by director, Reg Harris, and his contracts manager. We carry out all aspects of arboriculture and tree care. Our services include tree pruning, crown reductions, removal of deadwood, bracing, sectional felling, site clearance, dismantling of trees within confined spaces (with the aid of mobile elevated work platforms), cranes and rigging techniques, site clearance and coppicing, hedge cutting and hedge laying, stump grinding and chemical stump treatment. Specialist services include veteran tree management, traffic management, soil decompaction and root zone arboriculture, including root pruning, hand and mechanical excavation, air spade trenching and root exposure/pruning.
