Metal House Garden
Working in close collaboration with our clients, we reimagined their garden to create three distinct yet connected spaces for family life outdoors.
A hardwood decked terrace overlooks a natural pond, framed by reclaimed sea groynes, adding both texture and provenance. A sweeping self-binding gravel path curves behind the pond and loops back toward the house. Nearest the house, a durable clover lawn provides a central play surface, bordered by generous planting beds. All corten steel elements - including planters and precision edging - were fabricated and installed on site.
Hackney City Garden
A quintessential Hackney garden enhanced by the rare benefit of rear access. The design centres on a mature feature tree, around which a crushed granite path sweeps, creating a fluid connection between spaces. The path transitions into a secluded rear terrace - a calm retreat anchored by a fire pit for evening gatherings. Somerset Buff self-binding gravel is detailed with hand-laid stone setts to provide subtle definition and texture. The garden is enclosed by traditional yellow stock brick walls, grounding the contemporary detailing within its classic London context.
