Projects

Yorkshire Plant Lovers Garden

Completed: 14/12/2021
Location: Yorkshire
Budget: £40,000.00

Our clients asked for a garden to blend in with their bespoke new house.

We designed a living space next to the house framed with an oak pergola.  A patio adjacent to the house is wrapped around by a gravel garden with a small water feature.  Brightly coloured perennials flower in succession amongst swathes of grasses and cover the borders around the patio.

Screening from the neighbour is in the form of pleached cotoneaster trees and multistem birch trees.   A perennial meadow and trees finishes the garden and attracts wildlife.

Wildlife and Water Garden in Nottinghamshire

Completed: 12/03/2021
Location: Nottinghamshire
Budget: £250,000.00

Built during lockdown 1 this project was a challenge, one were are proud of the results.

A natural swimming pool is the focal point of this sloped garden, with adjacent cabin, sun deck and paved dining areas . We retained these curving living spaces with 80m of reclaimed sleepers and surrounded them with colourful borders, woven with grasses, perennials, bulbs for colour all year, and planted 38 trees.

A stream sparkles through a scree garden planted with aromatics, grasses and alpines, where terraced sleeper steps lead up to a vegetable garden.

Eco build swimming pond

Completed: 18/12/2020
Location: Yorkshire
Budget: £80,000.00

Our brief was for a sustainably built, chemical free-swimming pond, to blend into the clients wild garden and attract wildlife.

The pool has a swim zone for lengths, a small beach for easy access and a deck for relaxing and pool access. Wildflower meadows wrap round the water’s edge with mown grass pathways leading from the house and to the wider garden.

The pool is low maintenance, with biological and hydrobotanical filtration system with native aquatic plants in regeneration zones. Wildlife is abundant with amphibians, birds, mammals and invertebrates present!

Wildlife and Plant Enthusiasts Garden

Completed: 15/12/2020
Location: Nottinghamshire
Budget: £50,000.00

This garden was designed for two keen gardeners, to attract wildlife, provide shelter from the prevailing wind while maintaining that spectacular view onto rolling countryside.

Planting beds include a framework of trees, shrubs, naturalistic perennials, grasses and bulbs for a long display and to attract pollinators. Planting wraps around the lawn with various seating areas to enjoy the beautiful views.

A gravel garden containing aromatics and grasses leads to a sunken patio under a pergola with fragrant climbers. A small wildlife pond planted with marginals is the icing on top.

Lincolnshire pool and garden

Completed: 21/09/2015
Location: Lincolnshire
Budget: £300,000.00

We designed and constructed this stunning Natural Pool and its surrounding water garden in 2015. It forms a link between the formal gardens and rolling wildflower meadows to provide an oasis for a busy family who were keen to encourage wildlife.

The pool is simple and expansive, with a paved shallow end and steps leading out to a gently shelving beach.

We designed the surrounding garden with a loose, naturalistic planting scheme around the water, with walkways, opening onto secluded mown picnic areas, with vistas out to the rolling countryside.
