About Brandon, Michelle

A garden designer with over 25 years of experience, I began my career in 1999 with David Dodd at The Outdoor Room before moving to London to work with Stephen Woodhams. Since then, I’ve been a freelance designer, driven by a passion for how connecting with nature enhances mental health and well-being. This interest led me to work part-time as a horticultural therapist with Thrive in Battersea Park and to study Social and Therapeutic Horticulture at Coventry University. In 2019, I exhibited a garden at Hampton Court titled The Forest Will See You Now, highlighting nature’s healing power. I frequently oversee planting for Chelsea Flower Show gardens and teach at KLC School of Design. This year, I launched Garden Design Collective, a design studio and store in Cobham, Surrey, with a focus on fostering connections to nature through thoughtful design and curated products.
