The General Data Protection Regulation forms part of the data protection regime in the UK, together with the new Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). This replaces the Data Protection Act 1988. The main provisions of this applied from 25 May 2018, which means all business should already be applying the principles of the GDPR in their daily work activities. As a result of GDPR, BALI has produced a helpful data protection factsheet for members.
