Tree material handling and nursery tour of Majestic Trees

Join the North Thames Committee for a fantastic tour of the Majestic Trees 27 acre nursery, along with presentations from MD Steve McCurdy including tree material handling. With correct tree planting being critical for successful tree establishment, this promises to be both enjoyable and informative.

The event also allows plenty of time for networking and an early supper of fish and chips!

Our hosts

Steve McCurdy, MD of Majestic Trees is proud to lead such a passionate, dedicated team of professionals at the nursery. Since they opened in 2002, they have created one of the UK’s leading nurseries honouring four ‘UK Nursery Stock Grower of The Year’ awards and have recently celebrated their 20th anniversary.

The nursery has an entire 27 acres of trees with some that are old as 50 years, it is obvious they do not propagate from seedlings. They spend many weeks each year cherry picking the best stock and to ensure the highest biosecurity from some of the smallest and best nurseries across Europe to further develop and grow in AirPots.

With such an extensive range of varieties of trees to choose from, along with ample support and advice onsite and online, their expertise is evident to see.

The event

From 2:30pm: arrive. Tea and coffee will be available

3.00pm: Presentation – material handling display for trees

3:30pm: Tour of nursery

4:30pm: Presentation – lifting, moving and planting big trees

5:00pm: Presentation – success doesn’t just happen

5:30pm: Supper - fish & chips (veg choice available)*
