The day will start at Stone Zone & Landscaping Centre who are sponsoring the event with an insightful talk and an exclusive tour of the Landscape Depot. It is the perfect opportunity to browse premium materials, gain expert advice, and network over lunch.

In the afternoon, the event will transition from hard landscaping materials to planting design. We will head over to the renowned Knoll Gardens in Wimborne, famous for its stunning, wildlife-friendly ornamental grasses and climate-resilient designs.

Since 1994 the gardens have been undergoing a gradual change of emphasis from a formal show garden to the respected naturalistic garden that it is today. Often subtle, sometimes dramatic, these changes reflect the environmentally sensitive naturalistic ethos and approach to our garden making and after care.

The garden acts as an experimental ground for us to better understand how our plants behave in a garden setting and in association with each other. It also acts as a research space for our associated charity, the Knoll Gardens Foundation, to learn something about the interactions and the connections between the gardens wildlife, the gardens plants and our naturalistic approach to a gardens design, plant choice and ongoing care.

 As a modern specialist nursery concentrating on the UK market, we offer a wide range of grasses and perennials generally suitable for the UK climate. Our client base ranges from high profile institutions, public and botanic gardens, councils and charities, as well as a retail customer base that is  spread across the UK. While we do not have a breeding programme, we do have a selection programme - where we keep a sharp eye out for interesting seedling, sports or variations - and are delighted to have introduced a number of new selections for the UK market over the years.
