East Anglia Ipswich Town FC Event

The East Anglia Committee are excited to invite you to a behind-the-scenes-tour of the grounds at Ipswich Town FC led by Ben Connell, the clubs experienced Grounds Manager.

With over 11 years at the club, Ben oversees all grounds maintenance – including the stadium pitch and the 15 training pitches. His expertise stems from a strong background in Turf Management and Plant Science, which he studied through College and University, along with previous experience at the Lawn Tennis Association. This is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand how elite level playing surfaces are maintained, ask questions and explore the grounds with an industry professional.

You will also hear from Event Sponsors Green Tech, about their new MonaPluvia Irrigation innovation as well as from Russell Ball, founder of the charity Fund4Trees. There will be plenty of opportunity for networking over refreshments and lunch so make sure to book your tickets.

12pm – 12.30pm Russell Ball is a chartered Biologist and the founder of the Fund4Trees Charity. Russell will share knowledge and explain how strangling ties affect trees so they can be identified and potentially saved, which in turn could represent a revenue stream for contributing companies and a simple but effective way to help save the planet.

12.30pm – 1.30pm Lunch & Networking
