British Association of Landscape Industries ROLO Supervisor Course The course consists of a blended learning approach set out over two and a half days (half a day online and 2 days face to face).  The course is equivalent to the CITB SSSTS and fully endorsed by both Build UK and the CITB and designed specifically for supervisors working in Landscaping, Arboriculture, Amenity Maintenance and Ecology based industry sectors. Number of candidates per course: 12 Blended learning 1/2 day online self study, 2 days face to face in the allocated training room. 

The course covers all the relevant Health and Safety Legislation, Safe Systems of Work, Environmental Legislation, Environmental Impact, Managing Waste and the Role of the Supervisor.

The course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to effectively supervise a team on site.

Using a variety of teaching and learning methods including, groupwork, paired task completion and individual tasks, the course allows learners to progress from a basic knowledge of legislation, through to its application on site.

Working examples of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work will be analysed and used to form the basis of for learners to design and deliver their own toolbox talks, this will help them develop their own skills to effectively communicate the safe systems of work for their place of work.

Our instructors are not just academically qualified but have years of work experience within landscaping and arboriculture. This means our team can support our learners with practical expertise and experience to improve their knowledge and skills as supervisors.

The assessment is formed of a 40 question final online test, but is also assessed through knowledge, input and teamwork capabilities of the student. Using a range of assessment methods ensures that the learner can effectively work both individually and as part of a team in order to successfully supervise the work on site.

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
