Rolawn signs up to key strategic logistics partnership

In line with short and long-term growth plans, BALI Registered Affiliate member Rolawn is delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with multi-national logistics provider CM Downton.

As the UK’s leading turf grower and supplier of market-leading topsoil and bark products, Rolawn has a reputation for carefully managed operating systems, including timely and efficient distribution of its products, and this latest announcement serves as a reminder of their unwavering commitment to meeting and exceeding customer needs.

Rolawn’s Managing Director, Paul Dawson explains the thinking behind the decision,

Our existing distribution system has worked extremely well over the years, however as we continue to grow, we need a partner who can provide us not only with the quality of service our customers have come to expect but also with the availability of vehicles especially at peak times. As a result, we have entered into a contract with C M Downton Ltd to provide us with a haulage service to meet our requirements both now and into the future.

CM Downton is a highly successful private logistics firm that combines the values of a family business with the capacity and scale of a major multi-national logistics provider. Downton operates 700 tractor units and 1,800 trailers out of 15 distribution hubs across the UK and will utilise the latest technology to enhance load-fill and deliver efficiencies during peak seasonal volumes.
