Defra to offer a free plant health webinar
To help stakeholders understand the changes to plant health import requirements being phased in from 1st January 2022, Defra are offering a free webinar on Monday 29th November 2021 at 12:15pm.
Since 1st January 2021, only high-priority plants and plant products have required pre-notification and a phytosanitary certificate (PC) when being imported from the EU, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland.
From 1st January 2022 and 1st July 2022 this will change, with more regulated plants and plant products requiring pre-notification and/or a PC.
The webinar will guide stakeholders through the upcoming changes for importing regulated plants and plant products from the EU into GB, as well as an update on IT systems and ePhyto.
The session will be hosted on Microsoft teams and there will be an option to join via browser mode.
