In support of the International Year of Plant Health, BALI is hosting a free-to-attend webinar on Tuesday 21st April, starting at 10am.
The Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) has designated 2020 as the International Year of Plant Health (IYPH), a momentous opportunity to celebrate the benefits of healthy plants. Raising awareness on the many ways we are protecting our precious plant life, as well as wildlife, the environment and our economy, are key objectives of the global #IYPH campaign.
In support of the IYPH, the British Association of Landscape Industries is hosting a free-to-attend plant health webinar on Tuesday 21st April starting at 10am.
The webinar, which will last for 90-minutes, will focus on a variety of plant-health-related topics delivered by four guest speakers.
Two speakers from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will be joining the panel, including Dr Matthew Casey, who will provide a talk on the use of the plant passport system by landscape professionals, and, Sharron Matthews-Berry who will provide a report on current UK pest and disease threats.
Dr Sandra Denman from Forest Research will be looking at the key factors affecting Oak health and Dr Daegan Inward, also from Forest Research, looking at pest threats to Oak resilience.
The webinar will be hosted by BALI and joining instructions will be sent to all guests via email who register for a place using the booking form available on this event page. Places are free and open to everyone working in the landscaping industry.
