Don’t let it be a ‘brush’ with danger

The British Association of Landscape Industries’ (BALI) National Contractor’s Forum (BALI-NCF) and Registered Affiliate member STIHL have joined forces to offer a series of brush-cutter training workshops this winter designed to educate and support employees of BALI members who would be using this power tool within their role.

Labelled as ‘train-the-trainer’ events, the eight training workshops will be hosted by STIHL across four venues around the UK, offering employees the opportunity to attend during the morning (9am-12pm) or afternoon (1pm-3pm).

The exact venues and dates are as follows:

  • 3 December - Sparsholt College, Hampshire AM / PM
  • 5 December - Harper Adams University, Shropshire AM / PM
  • 10 December - Myerscough College, Lancashire AM / PM
  • 12 December - Oatridge College, Edinburgh AM / PM

The format will be one AM and one PM slot (each lasting approximately 3 hours) per venue with up to 30 places available to book at each session. Bookings can be made on BALI’s website and are strictly limited to 30 places (maximum two places per company).

The STIHL name has stood for revolutionary technology and innovative ideas ever since the firm was founded. Throughout their 90-year history this has made them the household names for state-of-the-art engineering, known around the world for quality and service. In more than 160 countries their products are helping people at work, making them the world's leading chainsaw brand. This is your opportunity to receive training on the latest brush cutter tools from STIHL, including hands-on and theory.

This is the second time BALI, through the BALI-NCF, has worked with STIHL on train-the-trainer workshops. In 2017 a similar range of workshops were made available to BALI-NCF members on the safe use of hedge trimmers with all venues quickly selling out of their allocation of spaces.
