The relentless progression of technology continues to transform professional landscape machinery. The diversity of products continues to evolve, providing operators with a range of equipment that is safer, more efficient and more capable than ever before. Whilst internal combustion engines in various formats continue to power the majority of equipment, more stringent emissions, noise and vibration regulations has led to significant development in engine configurations. Batteries are now a viable choice for most types of handheld equipment, with manufacturers expanding their product range to include battery alternatives. Whilst large-scale fully automated machinery is not yet available, a number of manufacturers are now starting to research the possibilities of this technology.
