2011 WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition.

BALI run the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition for students who are working towards their qualifications in the Industry. This competition, amongst 50 others (approx), is part of a set of skills competitions run throughout the UK and Internationally.

Every year the Landscape Gardening Competition attracts students from Colleges and Industry. This year competing within a regional heat, competitors build identical 2x3m gardens live at Malvern Spring Gardening Show 12-15^th May. Those scoring highest are invited to compete in the National Final which will be held at Malvern Autumn Show 24-25^th September.

In addition to encouraging all competitors to learn and excel within their trade, WorldSkills UK competitions may lead to an opportunity to compete internationally. Since 2009, outstanding competitors have been carefully selected by WorldSkills UK to be included in the UK’s International Competition Team, “WorldSkills Team UK”. These competitors will be competing in the next biannual International competition “WorldSkills” held at ExCeL 5-8^th October 2011 where there will be approximately 1200 competitors competing from 50 countries around the World.
