Addagrip approved contractor has recently completed a 3500m2 resin bound installation to the new High School in Portobello on the outskirts of Edinburgh using Addaset and Addacolor resin bound surfacing incorporating a world map design.
The project funded by the City of Edinburgh Council includes a new building for 1,400 pupils at the site in Portobello Park, designed by JM Architects with the landscape in mind.
Addaset Lucerne Silver was installed to the forecourt and rear courtyards of the school to provide a free draining natural silver granite effect to complement the new building. The new school also benefits from a resin bound map of the world installed adjacent to the Geography department to be used during lessons. Designed in contrasting Addacolor Blue and Addaset Lucerne Silver, the map design sets off the area beautifully and should hopefully encourage the pupils to get outdoors and ‘see a bit of the world’.
The new school opened to pupils in October 2016.
