    Colindale Gardens

Soft Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) - Between £300k - £1.5m This large residential development in North West London covers nine acres, providing 2,900 new homes, cafes, restaurants and retail facilities within communal landscaped gardens. The objective was to create an inner city parkland atmosphere with the emphasis on outdoor space. Communal ground level gardens around a central boulevard are complemented by a raised grassed podium. Larger family townhouses benefit from their own private gardens. An outdoor gym and sensory gardens are also included. Planting provides year-round interest and is also suitable for individual plots. The contractor worked closely with ground workers to ensure recently finished hard landscaping was not compromised by the movement of soil and materials.

    Streatham Hill

Soft Landscaping Construction (non-domestic) - Between £300k - £1.5m Access to this gated residential development in South West London was extremely restricted with all materials having to be craned into position. The south facing communal courtyard garden measuring c. 1,228m2 is enclosed on three sides by five and 6-storey apartments with planting selected to provide year round interest. Height and structure has been created with 60 semi-mature trees, under-planted with over 6,000 spring bulbs. Residents can enjoy scented plants and herbs and a Mediterranean-themed area. The garden was constructed at first floor level above a car park with a second floor above a new retail unit, linked by an external staircase.

    ***PRINCIPAL AWARD WINNERS***
This demanding high- density mixed use project in the heart of Ealing is nestled among three stunning historic buildings – Ealing Town Hall, Christ the Saviour Church and The Old Fire Station, with retail and community uses at street level, 698 apartments on upper floors with private courtyards, terraces and balconies. During phases 3&4 we installed green roofs, terraces and podium gardens across 8 different locations among these high value apartments. The sedum matting green roofs are inaccessible to residents but are important due to the increase in biodiversity that will result. The project was full of logistical challenges. Located in the busy centre of Ealing, this made getting things to site difficult, and the raised height areas meant moving materials by crane and hoist or moving materials through buildings. The finished result is a stunning mix of both public realm and private residential areas whilst phases 3 and 4 concentrate on private residential areas.
