Morning session: JCLI Homeowner’s Consultancy Agreement and Landscape Contract

Afternoon session: Heather’s Model Specification for Landscape and Garden Construction

Date: Wednesday 29th February 2012

Venue: Bloomsbury Suite, Friends House, 173 Euston Road, London NW1 2BJ (opposite Euston Station)

These two new documents were published in autumn 2011 by the Society of Garden Designers. This training is being run for the benefit of all four of the interested professional landscape associations whose members will be using the documents. Colin Moore, the editor of both publications, is a lecturer experienced in landscape contracts, who will be familiar to many attendees.

Topics include:
· How the Consultancy Agreement and Landscape Contract work
· Issues the contracts raise for designers and contractors
· The roles and responsibilities of designers and contractors
· Heather Model Specification – effective specification writing, updated clauses, using key words.

Timetable for the day
09.30 to 13:00 - Contracts training: Colin Moore, with speakers from APL, BALI and SGD
13:00 to 14:00 - Lunch for all attendees
14:00 to 17:00 - Heather’s Model Specification: Colin Moore and Alex Johnson

**Morning and afternoon sessions may be booked separately.**

Full day price: £80 + vat £96.00 including sandwich lunch

Half day price: £55 + vat £66.00 including sandwich lunch
