The Geoffrey Chalk Memorial Fund Travel Scholarship Call For Entries

The Geoffrey Chalk Memorial Fund Travel Scholarship was set up to enable talented and enthusiastic landscapers or landscaping students to travel, broaden their landscaping horizons and pass on their newly found knowledge and experience to others.

Past recipients have travelled to South Africa to research the native plants of the Cape, to Japan to visit the UK WorldSkills Competition, to Germany and Holland to investigate the large scale perennial planting style in Europe’s public parks and gardens and to California to investigate Green Roof Technology and natural swimming pools. The 2009 recipient Rebecca Crowley is planning to take a grand tour of Britain’s Gardens.

If you are involved in the landscape industry you are eligible to enter or if you know of someone who you feel deserves and would make use of the fund’s generous award of £1,500, which will be presented to the winning applicant at the 2010 BALI National Landscape Awards ceremony on the 3rd December 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
