 A record 19 BALI Members are involved with the 2010 RHS Chelsea Flower Show including the construction and design of 15 show gardens, 2 BALI Affiliate members are sponsoring gardens, 2 BALI Member Trade stands, 2 BALI College member continuous learning stands and a BALI Nursery has created a floral arrangement.

 

 

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, being held on 25-29 May 2010 at Royal Hospital, Chelsea, London, is one of the most famous flower and gardening events in the world and this year will feature more BALI Members than ever.

 

 

Willerby Landscapes return this year in the show garden category working again for Cancer Research UK, hoping to exceed last years achievement of a gold and silver medal as well as the Most Creative garden award. Landform Consultants are also competing in the show garden category returning again with The Children’s Society, with whom they won gold with last year. Landforms are also constructing the James Wong Tourism Malaysia Garden and Christina Williams ‘Music on the Moors’.

 

 

The Outdoor Room return again but this year will be constructing two show gardens, the first being the Foreign & Colonial Trust garden (with whom they worked with last year), and the second for the Fleming’s and Trailfinders Australian garden. Landscape contractors Garden Inspiration will be assisting with the construction of the L’Occitane Show garden.

 

 

BALI designer member, and winner of last years Design Excellence Award at the BALI National Landscape Award, Andy Sturgeon is the designer for the Daily Telegraph Garden which last year won best in show.

 

 

There are 5 BALI members constructing gardens in the Urban Gardens category, with Kings Landscapes constructing David Domoney’s garden, the most expensive at the Chelsea Flower Show ever. Garden Builders return to Chelsea with designer Kate Gould, a gold winning combination at last years show, to create the Hartman ‘A Joy Forever’ Garden. Alfie Bines is working with Japanese designer Tomoko Osonoe on the IN’O ‘Waterless Water Garden’ and TJS Landscapes are supporting the work of the Dyslexia research Trust by constructing the ‘Dyslexia – A Barrier to Education?’ garden. Two gardens are being created to honor individuals; Landcraft Projects are creating the ‘A Centenary Garden for Captain R.F Scott’ and Writtle College are constructing the ‘John Joseph Mechi’ Garden.

 

 

Indoor Garden Design are creating the first ever the first ever interior garden, called the Living Office.

 

 

BALI Affiliate members Global Stone are sponsoring the ‘Global Stone Bee Friendly Garden’ and Bradstone sponsor the ‘Bradstone Diversity Garden’.

 

Barcham Trees and Ruskin Treeswill also be at Chelsea Flower Show exhibiting with a trade stand each.

 

BALI College Members Warwickshire College and Capel Manor College are exhibiting in the continuous learning section of the show. BALI Registered Designer Member Andrew Fisher Tomlin is curating the interactive learning zone in the Great Pavilion at this year's RHS Chelsea Flower Show. He has also confirmed that he will be designing the RHS exhibit to go in it.
